I want to share with you today my wicker stand there in the corner that I have been having fun find little things to fill it. It was sitting in my back family room so I drug it in here to fill this corner. I had that picture already hanging on the wall of wicker furniture so thought it would be just right there.
All the items on the shelves are from thrift store finds and the doilies are out of my collection. The wicker shelves I got five years ago from a friend who was getting rid of lots of her things. It was free so that was a good find for sure.
The bottom shelf has pics of my four daughters who are the light of
my life!! These little frames I've had for awhile and I don't remember
how much I paid for them. Not much I'm sure. The white pitcher in the
corner I just found the other day from a local second hand store. It was $3.99
so it came home with me. The little tea light picture and bowl was $1.98 from
the Goodwill store. The pretty white heart with ribbon embroidery was gift
from a good friend some years ago. It's so dainty with the pretty ribbon made
into flowers and such.
The next shelf up has a pretty wicker type trinket box with nice lace and
floral detail to it. The little bird I found in some of my Mom's sewing supplies
so they worked out well on these shelves. The Victorian house is a wooden
box and the blue and white bowl in front of that has dried lavender in it.
It is the only piece of a very big set of early 1900 china of my great aunts that
was lost when my home burned in 2005. I lost my home and everything
so nothing I have currently is older that six years ago.
The pretty little white china swan with pink flowers and the cute picture
frame behind it where from the Goodwill store. The swan was $2.00 and the frame $1.50.
On the second shelf from the top is one of my favorite things I have found recently and that is the lace, floral and bead shadow box frame. It was only $2.99 and I was thrilled to find it. It might go up on the wall later but for now it does well here.
The clear glass box the the left has some small sea shells in it and I thought the candle star fish went well there. The middle pierced wood stand is for a vase but works well for the little hinged ceramic box. Next to that is a pretty white ceramic basket with lovely flowers. It's quite detailed. None of these items were more than $2.00 a piece.
On the top shelf are two glass slippers that also made it through the fire so those I have had for awhile. The lone tea cup sits on a little dish with a dried flower arrangement I received some time ago. I'm also please with finding the lovely picture frame in the corner for only $2.99 as those are quite pricey to buy them new. I will find a family pic some time soon to put in it. The blue bottle was one of my daughters items she left behind so I put it to use.
So there is my most recent table top display that I have had fun acquiring lately. As you can see I don't think I have spent more than $35.00 dollars or so for all of this. With a little patience and enjoying the hunt you can find treasures from things someone else does not care for any longer.
I hope you have enjoyed all my pretty little treasures!
